  2. Great Recording and will miss Natasha 11 yrs ago I bought this CD while living in a small town in Wisconsin and was happy with the new directions the play took. The film is one of my favorites and was relieved that two versions of the same piece could live side by side in my head. Reply

  7. May 04,  · The musical much like the story remains true to the story of Peggy Sawyer becoming a Broadway star overnight when the show's star Dorothy Brock breaks a leg. The original soundtrack from the original "42nd Street" cast includes the late and beloved Jerry Orbach, Carole Cook, Lee Roy Reams, and more/5(32). Reply

  9. The original cast recording of "42nd Street" was delightful, but it pales in almost every way, when compared to this revival's recording. For the first time, as with so many of the better-produced revivals on Broadway, we get to hear most of the songs, instead of shortened versions/5(18). Reply
